I have different devices I use as dvd reader and burner. A Samsung (SATA), LG
(PATA) and a Toshiba (PATA). I tried to create a clone copy of a previously
burned dvd and cd (tried afterwards with a commercial produced one with the
same results). I started readom with
sudo readom -clone dev=/dev/hdc -f=test.iso -clone
sudo readom -clone dev=/dev/sdc -f=test.iso -clone
And get always results like:
Read speed: 16620 kB/s (CD 94x, DVD 12x).
Write speed: 11080 kB/s (CD 62x, DVD 8x).
Errno: 5 (Input/output error), read toc scsi sendcmd: no error

or

I could not find any further informations inside the man page about a special
device I need to do create a clone image so I would say that it is a bug.
Expected results would be to get a clone copy similar to the ones I get with
Alcohol120% or CDClone.
