Well, the archive is unfrozen again, but it turns out that there are some fairly serious bugs in 0.42, and 0.43-to-be has an improvement wanted by Debian for some time, the removal of the bundled libraries. My current inclination is to package a pre-0.43 snapshot in experimental and wait for 0.43 final before uploading to unstable.
