Package: wicd
Version: 1.5.9-2
Severity: normal

I am frequently using wicd 1.5.9-2 as well as ppp connections and have the
following problem (also detailed here
http://wicd.net/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=389 ):

On disconnect with wicd, nameserver entries remain in /etc/resolv.conf.
So, when connecting with ppp later on, name resolution is very slow
since the now incorrect nameserver information is retained.
I found that manually deleting the files in /etc/resolvconf/run/interface/
after diconnecting with wicd resolves this issue.

Steps to reproduce:
- Connect to a network using wicd
- A file is created automatically in /etc/resolvconf/run/interface/
with dns info for this connection
- Disconnect with wicd
- Open a ppp connection (tried with kppp and pon)
- /etc/resolv.conf contains entries from old (wicd) connections before those
from the ppp connection, making dns resolution very slow

Workaround:
- Remove files from /etc/resolvconf/run/interface/ after disconnecting with
  wicd

If more info is required, I will gladly supply it.

Regards,

Soenke
