Package: dh-ocaml Version: 0.4.1 Severity: wishlist [ TODO-list item / reminder kind of bug report ]
As Debian OCaml Task Force we have some Git specific helper tools, for example to checkout or create Git repositories. They are currently stored in the d-o-m svn, under projects/git-guide/. That location is kind of silly (my fault :-)), because everyone of us which uses them has to make symlinks to them in more appropriate places. It would make sense to ship them as executables as part of "dh-ocaml", which is meant to help development of OCaml-related Debian packages. The only issue which needs to be faced is that of proper naming, on one hand the names shold make it clear that they are d-o-m specific, on the other hand names like "checkout-d-o-m-repo" are really horrible :-) Currently, the tool list includes: - checkout-d-o-m-repo - d-o-m-mrconfig - new-d-o-m-git-repo Note: they are even incoherently named! Cheers. -- System Information: Debian Release: 5.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=it_IT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash dh-ocaml depends on no packages.
