Hi, Mr Blahota a WxMaxima user was kind enough to create packages for latest wxMaxima and Maxima versions, they're availble at
https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wxmaxima/+bug/306243 http://www.blahota.hu/linux I did get in touch with him so he can submit those to sponsorship at Ubuntu, but maybe it would be better if those can be uploaded here at debian.
