OpenAFS prior to 1.4.8 has a bug that causes spurious permission denied errors when accessing subversion repositories hosted in AFS: http://rt.central.org/rt/Ticket/Display.html?id=74672 The above ticket includes a script that reproduces the bug with high probability. This issue affects a large number of users here at MIT, and it would be really nice to get it fixed in Lenny.
