I'm uploading a new upstream release (2.5.4) to experimental right now. Upstream says that this might fix the issue you experimented and it should fix the alignment issue also. I would appreciate if you could install that version (2.5.4-1) when it's available in experimental and try again to see if the issue reproduces. Thanks, Javier
