It calls for curl, awk, and ffmpeg2theora but they are not at all in
debian/control depends, recommends nor suggests.
Here's the changelog for the ubuntu version (1.3.0-2.1ubuntu3):
kino (1.3.0-2.1ubuntu3) jaunty; urgency=low
* Changed dependencies (for frame.sh): (LP: #307426)
- Added to recommends: gawk | mawk, curl.
- Added to suggests: ffmpeg2theora.
This is from a bug report on launchpad against 1.3.0-2.1ubuntu2 but
applies also to 1.3.0-2.2.
