I've read the discussion. Also in the Lenny distribution the dependencies are still not quit correct. Amavis starts before LDAP which is not correct because Amavis supports LDAP lookups. In a Amavis configuration it is possible to define all kind of lookups which are necessary for amavis to start coorectly.
