Package: geany Version: 0.14-1 Severity: wishlist It would be very useful if geany could recognise debian/control and other RFC2822 files, not only as a configuration file (which currently does some highlighting but gets confused if a line does not include the : marker) but also if it could recognise stanzas as tags suitable for the symbol browser. This would make it a lot easier to use geany to update packaging information and similar, even in source packages that generate a lot of binary packages.
This support could also be used with .changes files and similar, e.g.: $ dpkg-buildpackage $ debc>1|geany 1|rm 1 -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages geany depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 1.24.0-2 The ATK accessibility toolkit ii libc6 2.9-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libcairo2 1.8.6-2+b1 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libgcc1 1:4.3.3-5 GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.20.0-2 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.14.7-4+b1 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libpango1.0-0 1.22.4-2 Layout and rendering of internatio ii libstdc++6 4.3.3-5 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 geany recommends no packages.
