It makes sense that I'll add the all extended options in the default file.

This is still truth the way it is right now. You don't need to do
anything, and the mysql grant tables WILL be included in the backup.

It doesn't make sense. Please merge it with the other wishlist bug entry
then, because it's the same issue here (eg: because it's not in the
configuration file, you didn't see it...).
