Package: newt
Severity: normal
Tags: d-i

This is a new problem now that newt is linked to slang2. I'm running a
d-i build that is the same as tomorrow's i386 daily build of d-i will
be, and am at the language list, using the cdebconf newt frontend. It
seems to miscount the number of characters to use to write the chinese
(and japanese) texts, and so they extend past the scroll bar, and cause
various minor display corruptions.

Screenshot attached.
