Why "of course".  If you see a problem feel free to fix it.
But well, sticking to the GNUstep packages is fine for sure.

No, that's far from pushy.  As I said: Several people read the commit
logs and reverting a change is no big deal.

IMHO ITPs are primarily to prevent duplicate work and are redundant in
this case.  The only possible benefit is eventually someone to suggest
improvements to the descriptions.  AFAIK ftpmasters do not have
requirements NEW packages to have ITP bugs filed.

This in principle fits my preference.
