All right. I like comments, but some maintainers consider them redundant.
I always consider them helpful.
Thanks! I see that you added me to the project -- does that mean that I can commit without pre-approval
Yep! That was the idea as I said in one of my previous mails.
(only to GNUstep packages, of course)?
Why "of course". If you see a problem feel free to fix it. But well, sticking to the GNUstep packages is fine for sure.
If that's too pushy, I'll perfectly understand that and will submit the diff to the list first.
No, that's far from pushy. As I said: Several people read the commit logs and reverting a change is no big deal.
IMHO ITPs are primarily to prevent duplicate work and are redundant in this case. The only possible benefit is eventually someone to suggest improvements to the descriptions. AFAIK ftpmasters do not have requirements NEW packages to have ITP bugs filed.
This in principle fits my preference. Kind regards Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
