Note that anonftpsync has been superseded by the ftpsync script set: http://debian.org/mirror/ftpmirror#how This script set is available in a git repository, what eases updates compared to http download. A package would : * be a huge overhead given the script size. * be useful only for mirrors running Debian * would add a limited added value compared to a git clone/pull that already allow easy script update * require work for a something we consider as limited added value Currently, we have many Debian mirrors, it's already quite easy to run ftpsync, so spending much effort to make it even much easier doesn't have much sense IMO (and may have bad side effects, we should push proxy tools for standard users instead).
