Hello, okay, seems like kopete_silc 0.5 works now. I've tested it with Debian/experimental and recent Ubuntu installations...
The official tarball is available at [1]. My preliminary .dsc file is at [2], this time IPv4 accessible. Would be cool if some DD could care for the next steps (Jeremy?).
