Package: dhcp3-client Version: 3.1.1-6 /sbin/dhclient-script generates a resolv.conf file with both domain and search directives. Since only the latter one of these actually means anything (overwritting any previous ones...), this only does two things: 1) helps pre-1987 programs that don't know that "search" exists, and 2) makes dhclient-script look like an idiot.
