Package: lynis Version: 1.2.6-1 Severity: normal Hi
it looks like lynis has some wrong expectations on /bin/sh and it causes problems. First things I noticed is -e at each echoed line, because echo builtin in dash does not understand this option. Output for every test then looks: -e - Checking for old files in /tmp... [ WARNING ] There might be also other problems, but I have not noticed them so far. -- Michal Čihař | http://cihar.com | http://blog.cihar.com -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-1-vserver-amd64 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash lynis depends on no packages.
