Package: fmit
Version: 0.97.7-2
Severity: normal

Hi!

Thanks for maintaining FMIT in Debian.

I am trying to see if it can tune my electric guitar (connected to
the sound card mic-in through a DI box). From a hardware point of
view, the setup seems to work, since, if I start alsamixer, I can
hear the sound of the guitar coming out of my speakers.
However, when I start FMIT, it autodetects the ALSA transport:

  $ fmit

but then, no sound seems to be captured (flat captured sound graph, and
everything else shows no sign of activity) when I pick the guitar strings.

I tried to set "mix channels if they are multiple" in the configuration
dialog window, but nothing changed, it seems.

Is this a bug or is there something else I can try to do in order
to use FMIT with ALSA transport?

Thanks for any help.
