Package: python2.5
Version: 2.5.4-1
Severity: normal

i experience the issue on the system noted below.
exporting PYTHONPATH with the values from
/usr/lib/pymodules/python2.5/.path
works around that.
looking around i found that
$ file /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/python-support.pth
/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/python-support.pth: broken symbolic
link to `../../pymodules/python2.5/.path'

not sure, inhowfar that contributes or even is causal.
