When I attempt to install ia32-libs, I get the following error:

Errors were encountered while processing:
ia32-libs_1.4_amd64.deb
from which it would seem that the package is attempting two simultaneous
and conflicting diversions.
I am running a pure 64-bit system, originally installed from an Ubuntu
distro, but by now bearing no trace of Ubuntu, as my updates all come from
http://debian-amd64.alioth.debian.org/debian
(using the unstable branch).
Kernel is 2.6.12.1, compiled under gcc 3.4.5.
Any help or comments appreciated!
