I was not able to reproduce your problem with latest 0.35 version of piuparts. Using this command line : #piuparts -l res.txt --no-symlinks -m http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/ -d squeeze -p piuparts_0.35_all.deb Piuparts only used ftp.de.debian.org although ftp.fr.debian.org is on the /etc/apt/sources.list of my tarball.
