I compiled kernel using this command:
fakeroot make-kpkg --initrd kernel-image kernel-headers kernel-debug
When I try to install it using this command, initrd is not (re-)generated:
dpkg -i linux-headers-2.6.30-rc2_2.6.30-rc2-10.00.Custom_amd64.deb \
linux-image-2.6.30-rc2_2.6.30-rc2-10.00.Custom_amd64.deb \
linux-image-2.6.30-rc2-dbg_2.6.30-rc2-10.00.Custom_amd64.deb
This works for both fresh install and upgrade.
Output of dpkg follows (for upgrade, but initrd is not generated for fresh
install too).
