Package: myspell-en-au Version: 2.1-3.1 Severity: minor
I was surprised to find "verandah" not in the myspell-en-au dictionary. I checked: http://www.anu.edu.au/ANDC/res/aus_words/aewords/aewords_sz.php and they use the spelling "verandah". Google has 633,000 matches in Australia for "verandah" and 138,000 matches for "veranda". "verandah" should be the prefered Australian spelling, although it appears that both variations are in use. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.29 (SMP w/1 CPU core; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages myspell-en-au depends on: ii dictionaries-common [openoffi 1.2.0 Common utilities for spelling dict myspell-en-au recommends no packages. myspell-en-au suggests no packages. -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
