thanks for your patch. Most of your proposed changes were done by me in Debian's SVN tree already, you're pretty much wasting your time if you don't use svn.debian.org! Please note that I'll move from svn to git soon. Also please note that there's no need to upload an update to the last svn head of merkaartor, so such bugs are wishlist bugs. As I mentioned before, you're welcome to co-maintain the package. Its in collab-maint on alioth.
