What fscking manual work are you talking about? It seems to me you built up your own idea of what GConf-related packaging should look like, and it is so twisted and stupid that you’re not even able to explain it, apart from this completely irrelevant bug report. Repeat after me: “For a package that uses GConf, I use dh_gconf.” Is that clear? Aren’t you able to make a package that should be a 4-line rules file with cdbs? > "everybody who didn't speak agrees with me" Since you’re the first to speak, and since you obviously don’t understand how to make such a simple package, yes, I will have to assume everybody else would agree with the simple way of doing things, that does not require changing a m4 file and regenerating the autotools files. > I already fixed my package before filing this bug, which I only did with > the naive idea that you would care about making life easier for other > developers. Given the looks of your new version of the package in NEW, I guess I will not call this “fixed”. > Anyway, I already guessed why you don't want to fix this (see my other > mail). The (guessed) explanation is somewhat satisfactory; what I find > amusing is that you've been uncapable of telling me. I don’t find amusing that you are wasting my time with stupid requests, wasting the ftp-masters’ time with broken packages, and in the end wasting users’ time with even more broken packages when ftp-masters will not be here to prevent new breakage from flowing in. -- .''`.
