Package: screen Version: 4.0.3-13 Severity: normal When I start "screen", apps that run in it don't always notice screen resize: the problem often occurs with "emacs -nw" and occurs in non-selected windows with Mutt (well, I'm not completely sure, as this is a bit random: the difference may just be a coincidence).
What's particularly interesting is the following: * When the problem occurs, sending the SIGWINCH explicitly to the Emacs process (with kill -WINCH) doesn't have any effect. * When the problem occurs and I create a new window from the same screen session and start "emacs -nw" in this new window, this Emacs does not get the correct window size. Basically, I think this means that this problem is 100% a problem in screen. This seems to be a recent regression (but I'm not sure). -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers oldstable APT policy: (500, 'oldstable'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26.5-20080922 (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=POSIX, LC_CTYPE=en_US.ISO8859-1 (charmap=ISO-8859-1) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages screen depends on: ii libc6 2.9-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libncursesw5 5.7+20090404-1 shared libraries for terminal hand ii libpam0g 1.0.1-9 Pluggable Authentication Modules l screen recommends no packages. screen suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
