Package: open-vm-tools
Version: 2008.11.18-130226-1lenny2
Severity: important

installed open-vm-tools with apt-get install open-vm-tools
then ran module-assistant to prepare and build open-vm.
modules loaded without issue:

lsmod | grep pcnet32 - shows pcnet32
lsmod | grep vm - includes vmxnet

... The problem with this is that transfers are made below 4M/s until
pcnet32 is unloaded. ( After it unloads, it gets up to 7M/s -- I
suspect that I have a host issue that is limiting bandwith as well...

Is there any problem with just blacklisting pcnet32?
