there's an issue with building python .debs using python-support 0.90.0 or above, which screws up installations that would otherwise be perfectly acceptable and compatible on lenny and squeeze (and i wouldn't be surprised if they were compatible with etch as well). the dependencies in pyjamas on python are absolutely minimal - absolutely no libraries. even python2.4 is useable as the python-to-javascript translator. if there's anything that can be done about this, to ensure installability across a wide range of debian platforms (and ubuntu as well) that'd be great to hear about. l.
