Package: spider
Severity: normal

"Spider" is the name for a type of solo card game, it's the name
that people playing it with physical cards will be used to.

Debian has both spider and xpat2. xpat2 upstream is a fork of
spider after spider upstream stopped (in 1990).
Both have similar UI and dependencies (the X Athena toolkit)

spider has the higher popcon (150 votes vs 40)
spider is smaller (442k vs 1470k)

"xpat2 -rules Spider" is equivalent to the spider package.
(but choosing Spider via the in-game menu is different -
http://bugs.debian.org/526888 )

Spider has two "update your dependencies" bugs, one of which has
just been raised to RC, so it seems a good time to ask whether
the packages should merge. I suggest keeping a package with the
name spider (as that's well-known), but make it a script to run
xpat2.
