I noticed that it only happens with those "special" XF86* keys like XF86WWW
etc..

before:
KeyPress event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x2200001,
    root 0x13b, subw 0x0, time 5938347, (14,116), root:(212,914),
    state 0x0, keycode 178 (keysym 0x1008ff2e, XF86WWW), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
    XmbLookupString gives 0 bytes:
    XFilterEvent returns: False

KeyRelease event, serial 33, synthetic NO, window 0x2200001,
    root 0x13b, subw 0x0, time 5938499, (14,116), root:(212,914),
    state 0x0, keycode 178 (keysym 0x1008ff2e, XF86WWW), same_screen YES,
    XLookupString gives 0 bytes:
