Package: gnumeric
Version: 1.9.4-1
Severity: normal

I am experiencing the same issue as the original posted. My spreadsheet
was working for a few months without any issues. Now, I can't copy,
edit, or delete any of the cells. Many of the menu items are greyed out
as well. This means I can't create a new file while the spreadsheet is
open.

Opening gnumeric from scratch and creating a new file works as expected.
I have not tried out the version from sid yet.
