Package: python-genshi
Version: 0.5.1-1
Severity: wishlist

Kid used to have a commandline /usr/bin/kid executable able to simply
process .kid templates and delivering to standard output the result of
evaluation.

A similar tool is missing for genshi, but I don't see any intrinsic
reason why it should be missing. Sure the library interface is way
more general, but for fire and forget hacks it would be terribly
useful to have such a tool.

Can you please consider adding it? If you are interested I can write
one and submit it as a patch, it will probably be a couple-liner.

It can be either a Debian-specific binary /usr/bin/genshi (which would
do no harm) and also be submitted upstream as a contrib script.

Many thanks in advance,
Cheers.
