halevt can't mount my two usb disks. For one, I can mount it as root: # halevt-mount -u /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_uuid_0E18_13D2 -o sync -m 002 For the second, I get a error message as root: # halevt-mount -u /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_uuid_9ec10198_2605_4447_9056_1de7cf9428c4 -o sync -m 002 Mount error for /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/volume_uuid_9ec10198_2605_4447_9056_1de7cf9428c4: DBus Error org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume.InvalidMountOption: The option 'umask=002' is not allowed for uid=0 If I delete the two options "-m 002" in /etc/halevt/halevt.xml, halevt works fine.
