Package: libxine1
Version: 1.1.14-6
Severity: normal
The segmentation fault problem reported in Bug #512480 is gone. However, still
can't use gxine to play VCDs.
Whenever a VCD is inserted the following messages appear:
Error from the xine engine
The xine engine failed to start
No demuxer found - stream format not recognised.
The following methods were used to play VCDs which produced the above error
messages
1) Using auto start command in Gnome Configurator as gxine -f vcd://;
2) Once gxine started, selected File -> VCD from the same menu bar;
3) Using command line command gxine file://dev/hda or file:///dev/hda;
4) Using command line command gxine vcd://;
However, using the following commands resulted "segmentation fault:!
1) gxine vcd://dev/hda or vcd:///dev/hda;
2) gxine vcd://1 or gxine vcd://2;
And the following messages were displayed:
Error from the xine engine
The xine engine failed to start
No input plugin was found
May be the file does not exist or cannot
be accessed, or there is an error in the
URL
when using the following commands:
1) gxine vcd://%d
2) gxine vcd://%m
Since there was no problem in playing DVDs automatically, did not test other
ways of playing DVDs.

Lee
