as you can see, my locale is de_DE,UTF-8 When I start gnote (with an empty ~/.gnote), I get the following error message on stdout: (-1252440224) ERROR: create_start_notes - Error creating start notes: Namespace prefix link on internal is notdefined Creating a new note, results in a error popup wit the message: Neue Notiz konnte nicht angelegt werden (New note could not be created) Namespace prefix link on internal is not defined. As I wanted to the original English error message I started gnote with LANG=C gnote, but then this problem is suddently gone. Starting with LANG=de_DE seems to work fine, too. Apparently gnote has problems with UTF-8 locales.
