I have just found that `xrandr -o $ORIENTATION` works without any
problem. Thus, it seems that this version is not yet yet compatible
with RandR version 1.2, since according to the xrandr manpage:
SYNOPSIS
[...]
RandR version 1.0 and version 1.1 options
[-o orientation] [-s size] [-r rate] [-x] [-y]
Howver, /var/log/Xorg.0.log contains the following messages:

(II) Glamo(0): RandR 1.2 enabled, ignore the following RandR disabled message.
(II) Glamo(0): DPMS enabled
(--) RandR disabled
=====
Can anyone else confirm it the same, please?
