Package: aptitude Version: 0.4.11.11 I have a number of releases in my sources.list, with default being "testing". Thus when an uninstalled package is available both in testing and unstable, aptitude correctly shows the testing version in the "uninstalled" listing, and that is the selected version if I just hit + on the package line. Now if instead I select the version for unstable, and then undo, the version now displayed, and selected if I hit + on the package line, is the one from unstable (that is, presumably not the wished-for one since undo was used). This is easily seen on my setup since I have a %t indicator, but someone with the default setup would easily get fooled.
For the record, my preferences file reads: Explanation: score debian-multimedia lower than unstable but still get them ugraded Package: * Pin: release o=Unofficial Multimedia Packages Pin-Priority: 101 Explanation: same as Default-Release, but origin-restricted as well Package: * Pin: release o=Debian, a=testing Pin-Priority: 990 Explanation: just enough so they are auto upgraded Package: * Pin: release a=experimental,o=Debian Pin-Priority: 101 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
