Package: lyx Version: 1.6.2-1 Severity: normal When putting a %23 in a hyperlink of a foot note (example: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Failure_rate%23Additivity to get to page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Failure_rate#Additivity) Lyx will be uncapable (wild assumption) of creating a PDF from the file, and the error is like this: "File does not exist: /tmp/lyx_tmpdir.T12589/lyx_tmpbuf1/nohash-in-hyperlink.pdf"
A normal # cannot be used because of Latex error "Illegal definition [...] of \...@tempa". Without further knowledge of Latex I don't know how to solve this. I think at least from the Hyperlink dialog Lyx should detect the situation and do the necessary symbol replacements. Please see the attached Lyx file. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (650, 'unstable'), (600, 'testing'), (500, 'oldstable'), (200, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.30-rc5-02044-ga4d7749 (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages lyx depends on: ii libaiksaurus-1.2-0c2a 1.2.1+dev-0.12-6 an English-language thesaurus (dev ii libaspell15 0.60.6-1 GNU Aspell spell-checker runtime l ii libboost-regex1.34.1 1.34.1-16 regular expression library for C++ ii libboost-signals1.34.1 1.34.1-16 managed signals and slots library ii libc6 2.9-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.4.0-5 GCC support library ii libqtcore4 4.5.1-2 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4.5.1-2 Qt 4 GUI module ii libstdc++6 4.4.0-5 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libx11-6 2:1.2.1-1 X11 client-side library ii lyx-common 1.6.2-1 Architecture-independent files for ii mime-support 3.44-1 MIME files 'mime.types' & 'mailcap ii xdg-utils 1.0.2-6.1 desktop integration utilities from ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-13 compression library - runtime Versions of packages lyx recommends: ii acroread [pdf-viewer] 9.1.1-0.0 Adobe Acrobat Reader: Portable Doc ii dvipng 1.11-1 convert DVI files to PNG graphics ii ghostscript 8.64~dfsg-1.1 The GPL Ghostscript PostScript/PDF ii imagemagick 7:6.5.1.0-1 image manipulation programs ii kghostview [pdf-viewer] 4:3.5.9-3 PostScript viewer for KDE ii latex-xft-fonts 0.1-8 Xft-compatible versions of some La ii okular [pdf-viewer] 4:4.2.2-2 document viewer for KDE 4 ii poppler-utils 0.10.6-1 PDF utilitites (based on libpopple ii preview-latex-style 11.83-7.3 extraction of elements from LaTeX ii psutils 1.17-26 A collection of PostScript documen ii texlive-fonts-recommended 2007.dfsg.2-4 TeX Live: Recommended fonts ii texlive-latex-extra 2007.dfsg.17-2 TeX Live: LaTeX supplementary pack ii texlive-latex-recommended 2007.dfsg.2-4 TeX Live: LaTeX recommended packag Versions of packages lyx suggests: pn chktex <none> (no description available) ii cups-bsd [lpr] 1.3.10-2 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - ii cups-client 1.3.10-2 Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - ii dillo [www-bro 0.8.6-3 Small and fast web browser pn dvipost <none> (no description available) pn gnuhtml2latex <none> (no description available) ii groff 1.18.1.1-22 GNU troff text-formatting system ii iceweasel [www 3.0.9-1 lightweight web browser based on M ii konqueror [www 4:4.2.2-1 KDE 4's advanced file manager, web ii latex2html 2002-2-1-20050114-6 LaTeX to HTML translator pn latex2rtf <none> (no description available) pn libtiff-tools <none> (no description available) pn linuxdoc-tools <none> (no description available) ii menu 2.1.41 generates programs menu for all me pn noweb <none> (no description available) ii opera [www-bro 9.64.2480.gcc4.qt3 The Opera Web Browser ii rcs 5.7-24 The GNU Revision Control System ii sgmltools-lite 3.0.3.0.cvs.20010909-15.1 convert DocBook SGML source into H ii tex4ht 20090223-1 LaTeX and TeX for Hypertext (HTML) ii w3m [www-brows 0.5.2-2+b1 WWW browsable pager with excellent pn writer2latex <none> (no description available) ii wv 1.2.4-2 Programs for accessing Microsoft W -- no debconf information
