According to [1], from the 2.6-4 version, Denyhosts "Introduced dh_reenable, tool that help in common task of reenable a denied host" Please see /usr/share/doc/denyhosts/README.Debian to see how it works I wait a confirm from you that dh_reenable is what asked you to close the bug.
