Package: slrn Version: 0.9.8.1pl1-5 In a traditional xterm (where LANG=en_US), slrn starts up in the familiar way.
In a uxterm (where LANG=en_US.UTF-8), slrn dumps core somewhere after the "Connected to host. Posting ok." message and before bringing up the list of newsgroups. This happens even with an empty ~/.jnewsrc and the command line "slrn -n -i /etc/news/slrn.rc".
