Well, I don't agree with this. update-alternative goes to great length to
ensure the availability of the generic name registered and it sure would
create problems if we let people select a "none" choice that would disable
the alternative. Furthermore, there's no clean way to do this without changing
the file format used by update-alternatives.

So it's a reasonable constraint of update-alternatives and anyone choosing
to use the alternatives system should live with this limitation/feature.

I suggest that whatever package provides the default set of cursors also
registers itself in the alternative... apparently the default set of
cursors is hardcoded somewhere but I'm not sure where. I'll reassign to
libxcursor1 as it's the one that makes use of
/usr/share/icons/default/index.theme (according to Julien Cristau).
