Package: smartmontools
Version: 5.38-2+lenny1
Severity: normal

The default smartd configuration misses the `-n standby' option. This is
particulary hazardous to disks, which have hdparm -S option specified.
Resulting behaviour is spinning the disk up, which is in standby state every 30
minutes (by default) to get smart data. I guess this may damage the drive, or
shorten its life.
