Package: unetbootin Version: 323-1 Severity: normal
I attempted to install an 861M ISO to a 1GB USB drive, and the application consistently hung during the bootloader installation phase. Installing to a 4GB drive was successful, and resulted in 872M used. An 11MB discrepancy shouldn't cause the hang. Is there additional overhead on the target disk during installation? Even so, unetbootin should at least report an error, rather than simply hanging indefinitely. Not only it is unclear what the problem is, but there's no indication (other than the process never completing) that there's anything wrong at all. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (810, 'unstable'), (600, 'stable'), (550, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages unetbootin depends on: ii libc6 2.9-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libgcc1 1:4.4.0-5 GCC support library ii libqt4-network 4.5.1-2 Qt 4 network module ii libqtcore4 4.5.1-2 Qt 4 core module ii libqtgui4 4.5.1-2 Qt 4 GUI module ii libstdc++6 4.4.0-5 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii p7zip-full 4.58~dfsg.1-1 7z and 7za file archivers with hig ii syslinux 2:3.80+dfsg-1 utilities for the syslinux bootloa ii udev 0.141-1 /dev/ and hotplug management daemo Versions of packages unetbootin recommends: ii unetbootin-translations 323-1 translations for unetbootin distri unetbootin suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
