Package: smartmontools
Version: 5.38-2
Severity: wishlist
File: /usr/sbin/smartd
I have configured 14 or so disks with smartd in my computer. Recently one
started to have a failed self-tets error log entry, resulting in these
logmessages:
Jun 4 16:38:38 (none) smartd[3517]: Num Test_Description Status
Remaining LifeTime(hours) LBA_of_first_error
Jun 4 16:38:38 (none) smartd[3517]: # 1 Short offline Completed: read
failure 50% 15291 976228167
Jun 4 16:38:38 (none) smartd[3517]:
obviously, it would be nice if smartd would atcually log *which* drive
caused the problem, as otherwise I have to go through the list of all my
drives and issue smartctl commands manually to find the relevant drive.
