PS: Seems that this _is_ a fatal problem for heartbeat. "/etc/init.d/nfs-kernel-server stop" (called by heartbeat) seems to use SIGINT to kill the nfs daemons, but they don't go away. This keeps the local mount point of an exported disk busy, and after 2 minutes waiting heartbeat pulls the plug and reboots ungreacefully :-(.
For testing I replaced the SIGINT in nfs-kernel-server by SIGHUP, and the problem is gone. But I am not sure if SIGHUP is the correct way to shut down the nfs daemons.
