Hello,

I suspect the error results from a wrong check and cfdisk considers an
abnormal situation the identity of the limit of the extended partition
with the begining or the end of a contained logical partition. Of
course, such an identity is a normal situation for an extended partition
and a logical one contained in it, but isn't for any other pair.

I am suspecting the check is for the end (but could be both) because
although in my case both the start and the end of the extended partition
overlap, in the case of Muthusubramanian NV and that of Oz N only the
end was identical:

myself:
/dev/hda4 426 8708 66533197+ 5 Extended

/dev/hda11 426 2127 13671252 8e Linux LVM

Muthusubramanian NV:
/dev/sda2 1216 14593 107458785 f W95 Ext'd (LBA)

...
/dev/sda10 10697 14593 31302621 b W95 FAT32

Oz N:
/dev/hda1 63 312576704 156288321 5 Extended
/dev/hda5 291386970 312576704 10594867+ 83 Linux
...
/dev/hda9 189 25848584 12924198 83 Linux

I hope this helps.
