After I ready about gspca_stv06xx being included in 2.6.29 mainline, I
pretty much stopped bothering about qc-usb (I don't have any webcam
myself). Unfortunately a friend of mine claims that his webcam (046d:0840)
doesn't show a picture with gspca_stv06xx and 2.6.29 or 2.6.30
(automatically detected/ loaded by udev; yes taking care of libv4l preload
hacks).

While I will try a little remote debuging with him, I cannot yet comment
upon it; in general it would imho be better to get gspca_stv06xx working
than investing too much time on qc-usb (otherwise qc-usb would also need
to blacklist gspca_stv06xx).
