Would it be worthwhile to run mutt in gdb with a breakpoint somewhere inside the imap_keepalive function (e.g. imap/util.c:709 imap_check_mailbox (ctx, NULL, 1); ) while monitoring the network traffic with e.g. wireshark? grtz Steven
