Package: opensync-plugin-iceowl Version: 0.22-3 Severity: wishlist opensync-plugin-iceowl uses libneon27, which is linked with OpenSSL.
This is OK, since it is licensed under the LGPL. But other (GPL'ed) applications mistakenly linked with libneon27 instead of libneon27-gnutls are a source of GPL violations. Getting libneon27 phased out would therefore be a good thing, and having opensync-plugin-iceowl moved would be one step of decreasing it's usage. It would also avoid some surprising effects of LGPL+OpenSSL in opensync-plugin-iceowl (disabling section 3 of the LGPL 2.1). It should be enough to change the libneon build dependency to libneon27-gnutls-dev. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [email protected]
