Hi,

I forwarded this bug to upstream (https://jira.sim.no/browse/COINSUPPORT-813)

Hi Steve

We are prepared to try to work with you to resolve this issue.
It seems however that this is not as straightforward to solve as it appears on
the surface.

Our documentation is generated by doxygen, and the deprecated pages is one of
the automatically generated pages, thus the generic name.
I will investigate if there is some option for doxygen, to rename these files.

Since doxygen is also used to generate the online documentation, with
hyperlinking facilities, it would not be an option to make a general renaming
of this page, but it might be possible to do something only for the manpages.

I'll have a look at our options, and return with an answer to you.

Best regards
Tom Fredrik

Hi Steve

This is what I have done:

1. I've renamed the generic files which are directly under our control eg. books
2. I've filed a bug report to doxygen, and informed them about the problem
(http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=585991)

I've discussed this a bit with one of my colleagues, and our analysis of the
reminder of the problem is this.
The deficiency is upstream, but the problem occurs downstream. It is our
opinion that the proper place to create a workaround untill a solution is found
upstream would be the place where it occurs, in this case in the Debian build.
We are however willing to consider arguments to the contrary.

Since the page names are of a very generic nature, I would suggest that you
simply not install them.

Sorry that I could not be of greater assitance.

Best regards
Tom Fredrik

So I will remove the problematic manpages, awaiting an upstream (doxygen) fix.

-Steve
